Air raid alerts have been declared in the eastern, northern, and southern regions of Ukraine. Explosions were heard in Sumy and Kharkiv regions, according to the Ukrainian Air Force and the public broadcaster Suspilne.

On the night of October 4, Russia continued a combined attack against Ukraine.

Since the evening of October 3, the Ukrainian Air Force has been warning about:

  • activity of enemy tactical aviation in the south-eastern direction and the threat of using aerial weapons against frontline regions;
  • launches of guided aerial bombs (KABs) in the Sumy region and toward Zaporizhzhia;
  • groups of enemy drones spotted in the northwest of the Chernihiv region, moving toward the Kyiv region, and in the east of the Kharkiv region, moving toward the Poltava region.

Around midnight, the Suspilne TV channel, citing its correspondents, reported explosions in Sumy and in the Chuhuiv community of the Kharkiv region.

Russian attack on Ukraine on October 3

As RBC-Ukraine reported, during the night of October 2–3, Russian forces carried out another combined strike on Ukraine, launching 35 missiles and 381 drones.

Poltava and the Poltava region came under attack, where the Russian army targeted gas production infrastructure. As a result of these attacks, the affected facilities were forced to shut down.

Explosions were also reported in Dnipro, Odesa, and several other regions, where energy infrastructure facilities were among the enemy’s targets.
