On the night of October 3, Russian forces struck energy infrastructure facilities with missiles and drones in several regions of Ukraine. Gas transmission system facilities were also affected, according to Olha Yukhymchuk, Deputy Minister of Energy for European Integration.

"Yes, indeed, this night the enemy carried out strikes with missiles and drones on a number of energy facilities in several regions, in particular, on gas transmission infrastructure facilities," she said.

According to Yukhymchuk, rescuers and energy workers are currently working on the ground to eliminate the situation as quickly as possible and stabilize it.

"At the moment, we do not have the latest data, so the ministry will return with more details later, since everything is still being worked out on site," the official clarified.

Attack on Ukraine on October 3

As a reminder, from October 2 to 3, Russia carried out another combined strike on the territory of Ukraine. Explosions were heard in Poltava, Dnipro, Odesa, and several other regions.

In the Poltava region, the main target of the attack was energy facilities.

In the Sumy region, due to the night shelling by Russia, the Shostka city community was left without electricity. According to local authorities, an infrastructure facility was damaged in the Voronizh starosta district.

Russia also carried out hundreds of massive strikes on Zaporizhzhia – residential buildings and infrastructure facilities were damaged.
