Explosions reported in Dnipro and Odesa amid missile attack

Explosions were heard in Odesa and Dnipro during an air raid alert in the early hours of October 3, according to Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov.
"The city is hearing explosions!" wrote Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Air Force had warned of Russian drones heading toward Odesa from the Black Sea.
An air raid alert in the Odesa region was declared at 2:19 AM and lifted at 2:51 AM Kyiv time.
The Air Force also reported attack drone activity moving toward the Dnipropetrovsk region, as well as several high-speed aerial targets heading for Poltava.
Around 1:02 AM Kyiv time, explosions were reported in Dnipro.
That same night, explosions were also heard in Poltava, where monitoring channels had earlier tracked the movement of cruise missiles toward the city.
Ukraine plans to strengthen its air defense systems in frontline regions. Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi announced the decision on October 2.
