Zelenskyy warns Hungary over reconnaissance drone activity in western Ukraine

Ukraine knows exactly what the Hungarian reconnaissance drone was searching for over Zakarpattia. Hungary is taking extremely dangerous actions, primarily for itself, said President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The Ukrainian President confirmed that a Hungarian reconnaissance drone was detected over Ukraine. The Armed Forces and intelligence publicly presented the evidence after Hungary attempted to accuse Ukraine of fabrications.
"Everything is documented — movements recorded electronically, photos exist, and other evidence as well. So far, I see no positive steps from the Hungarian leadership. I am not talking about the population. But we are always ready for dialogue," he said.
Zelenskyy added that a crucial point is what exactly the Hungarian drone was searching for, and here, Hungary is taking actions that are extremely dangerous for itself.
"It is very important what the Hungarian intelligence officer is studying on Ukrainian territory. I understand, in principle, what they are doing. I consider their actions extremely dangerous. Very dangerous, first and foremost for themselves," the President noted.
Hungarian drone provocation: Details
On September 26, Zelenskyy stated that Hungarian reconnaissance drones may have violated Ukrainian airspace. This was reported by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi. The drone was likely looking for Ukraine's defense industry.
Although the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine presented proof of the airspace violation, the Hungarian Ministry of Defense denied any violations and claimed no drones were present. Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Péter Szijjártó even claimed that Zelenskyy had "gone crazy."
However, Szijjártó was quickly called out by Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha, who advised the Hungarian minister to watch his words and highlighted the "hypocrisy and moral degradation" of the Hungarian government. Zelenskyy also sternly warned Hungary that next time, Ukraine would respond to such provocations far more harshly.
