Ukraine’s foreign minister slams Hungary’s Szijjártó after attacks on Zelenskyy

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has urged Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó to refrain from sharp comments about President Volodymyr Zelenskyy following the appearance of Hungarian drones over Ukraine, according to the minister's X.
Sybiha accused the Hungarian government of "hypocrisy and moral degradation."
"We are starting to see a lot of things, Peter, including your government's hypocrisy and moral degradation, open and covert work against Ukraine and the rest of Europe, serving as a Kremlin lackey," he stated.
He added that no attacks by Hungarian officials on Ukraine’s President will change what everyone else sees.
The dispute follows a sharp response from Szijjártó to Zelenskyy over Hungarian drones in Ukraine.
"President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is starting to go crazy over anti-Hungarian sentiment. Now he’s even seeing ghosts," Szijjártó’s post reads.
Hungarian drones spotted over Ukraine
Ukraine has reported that Hungary may have been monitoring its defense industry using reconnaissance drones.
"Ukrainian forces recorded violations of our airspace by reconnaissance drones, which are likely Hungarian. Preliminary assessments suggest they may have been conducting reconnaissance on the industrial potential of Ukraine’s border areas," President Zelenskyy said after a briefing from Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi.

On May 9, the Security Service of Ukraine exposed Hungarian intelligence agents for the first time.
They were gathering information on the region’s defenses, probing weak points in both ground and air security.
