Zelenskyy: Partners' resolve must be far more long-range
Ukraine is bringing closer the steps of partners that can help Ukrainian defenders on the battlefield. The resolve of allies must become far more long-range, stated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy reported that today he received another briefing from the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
"I thank all our soldiers holding the front on the Pokrovsk direction, those holding the Kurakhove direction... Those who are really maintaining our positions. And we are bringing closer the steps of partners that can help now," said the President.
According to him, the main thing now is resolve, especially from the partners.
"The resolve of Ukrainians is more than sufficient. The resolve of our partners must become far more long-range. We are also working on logistics—ensuring the timely delivery of announced support packages. Every day is a task. Every day requires maximum effort. We will definitely defeat the occupier," Zelenskyy emphasized.
Authorization for strikes on Russian territory
A number of partners, including the United States, supply Ukraine with long-range missiles on the condition that they are not used to strike Russian territory.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for lifting these restrictions on strikes on Russian airfields, but the allies have not yet given the green light.
Today it became known that US President Joe Biden will meet with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Friday, September 13. They will discuss authorizing the Armed Forces to strike deep into Russia.
The media also reported that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will soon visit Ukraine. During his visit, he is likely to announce that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be authorized to strike Russia with long-range weapons.
