President Volodymyr Zelenskyy suggested that US weapons intended for Ukraine could potentially be redirected to the Middle East. He noted that such a decision would depend on multiple factors, but there is one key consideration.

According to the Ukrainian president, the key factor in this decision will be the duration of the war in the Middle East.

"As for the rerouting of weapons, nothing like that has happened. I cannot say how things will develop. I think it depends on many factors. The duration of the war, I believe, will be a decisive factor in this matter," Zelenskyy said.

He expressed hope that such measures would not occur and that weapons packages intended for Ukraine would not be sent to the Middle East.

The president also noted that Ukraine understands the volume of US weapons already used in combat, what Iran possesses, and what Iran requires from Russia. These dynamics, he said, could influence developments in both Ukraine and the Middle East.

"We are now analyzing this more closely. This is important for us. We also understand what Iran needs from Russia. All of these factors affect the course of events in Ukraine and the Middle East. We hope the packages will not be redirected. So far, there have been no signals to suggest this," Zelenskyy concluded.

Rerouting of weapons for Ukraine to Middle East

Recently, The Washington Post, citing its sources, reported that the United States is considering redirecting military aid intended for Ukraine to the Middle East.

A day later, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that this has not happened so far, but did not rule out the possibility of such a move.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump was asked whether the media reports were true. He responded that Washington does this "all the time."
