President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine seeks to obtain official information regarding future support from the United States. Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov has been tasked with finding out more about this, the head of the state mentioned this during his evening address.

According to Zelenskyy, people should not have to guess about the situation, and countries deserve respectful dialogue. He instructed the defense minister, intelligence chiefs, and diplomats to contact their American counterparts to clarify Washington's future plans.

Zelenskyy acknowledged that Ukraine has repeatedly faced temporary halts in assistance, including humanitarian, energy, and military aid. He recalled that military support had already been suspended earlier this year but was quickly resumed. However, he noted that the situation differs from 2022, as Ukraine now has a higher level of resilience and defensive capabilities.

"Ukraine will always be grateful to America for all the support that has been provided and continues to be provided, helping to maintain what are now rather fragile foundations of security in Europe. This is not just about our country — it concerns everyone in Europe. We seek constructive cooperation and partnership," Zelenskyy said.

He expressed regret over recent events at the White House, which disrupted planned negotiations, but urged both sides to seek opportunities for further engagement.

"We always respect America, Europe, and all our partners, and together we are doing everything possible to bring peace closer," Zelenskyy concluded.

Trump halts aid to Ukraine

Today, the White House confirmed that US President Donald Trump is suspending military aid to Ukraine following a dispute with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Later, Fedir Venislavskyi, a member of the parliamentary defense committee, told RBC-Ukraine that during a closed session of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence, lawmakers discussed a negative scenario regarding the possible termination of US military assistance to Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated that Ukraine continues efforts to provide the Armed Forces with everything necessary and maintains an active dialogue with international partners.

Some time ago, Zelenskyy said that Ukraine seeks to engage in negotiations as soon as possible to achieve a lasting peace.
