President Donald Trump is ordering military aid to Ukraine to be paused after his argument with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as the US needs its partners, as well as the White House, to focus on peace, according to CNN.

As mentioned in the source, the relevant information was confirmed in the evening (still March 3 in the US) by the White House official.

“The President has been clear that he is focused on peace. We need our partners to be committed to that goal as well. We are pausing and reviewing our aid to ensure that it is contributing to a solution,” the White House official said.

What suspension is about

About an hour before the White House comment, Bloomberg, citing a source in the Pentagon, reported that Trump had ordered the halt of all military aid to Ukraine. He instructed US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to pause the process.

This refers to all US military equipment that is not yet in Ukraine, including items currently in transit on planes and ships or waiting to be sent to transit zones in Poland.
