Ukraine determined to continue cooperation with United States - Prime Minister

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that Ukraine continues to work to provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with everything they need and maintains an active dialogue with international partners.
According to him, Ukraine is calmly and confidently negotiating with the United States, Congress, the presidential administration, and Donald Trump on further support.
“Today, Ukraine is determined to continue cooperation with the United States, and I am confident that the support will continue,” Shmyhal emphasized.
He also noted that the Ukrainian side is working on new forms of cooperation, including a joint investment fund, and is ready to sign the relevant agreements. In addition, active negotiations with European partners are underway to raise funds for the development of defense production in Ukraine.
Shmyhal emphasized that the US support is extremely important, as it includes not only funding but also the supply of air defense systems that protect Ukrainian cities and save thousands of lives.
“We are working to ensure that this support continues until a peace agreement is fully reached, but I emphasize that it is on the terms of Ukraine as a victim country,” the Prime Minister concluded.
Trump canceled aid to Ukraine
The White House has confirmed that US President Donald Trump is suspending military aid to Ukraine after a spat with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The United States needs its partners, like the head of the White House, to focus on peace.
Later, Fedir Venislavskyi, a member of the Ukrainian Parliament Defense Committee, told RBC-Ukraine that a negative scenario regarding the possible suspension of US military aid to Ukraine was considered at a closed meeting of the Verkhovna Rada's Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence.
At the same time, the French government opposed the termination of US military assistance to Kyiv. This would delay the peaceful settlement of the war in Ukraine.
