Today, on Monday, December 1, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is visiting Paris. At the Élysée Palace, he will meet with French President Emmanuel Macron, BFMTV reports.

The President of Ukraine is expected at the Élysée Palace together with his wife, Olena Zelenska.

According to media reports, Zelenskyy's arrival is delayed. It is expected that the Ukrainian leader will arrive at the Élysée Palace at 10:45 a.m. local time (11:45 a.m. Kyiv time). The heads of both states will make statements.

According to available information, the leaders will "exchange views on the conditions for a just and lasting peace, continuing the discussions in Geneva, the American plan, and close coordination with our European partners.''

In addition, they will touch on the issue of security guarantees for Ukraine within the Coalition of the Willing.

US peace plan

As is known, the United States previously presented a new peace plan to end the war in Ukraine, which contained 28 points, some of which were highly favorable to Russia.

In connection with this, on November 23, a meeting of delegations from the United States, Ukraine, and Europe took place in Geneva, where the document was revised to make it more acceptable for Kyiv. After that, the plan was changed and already differed significantly from its original version.

Work on the document continues: on November 30, the United States and Ukraine held new negotiations in Florida.

After the meeting, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the sides had made progress, adding that the negotiations were complex.

However, according to RBC-Ukraine sources, during the Florida negotiations, it was not yet possible to finalize the draft peace agreement.

In particular, issues of territory were actively discussed, and Ukraine's NATO membership was also raised.

Meanwhile, media reports say that US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff is already heading to Moscow today to continue negotiations with the Russian side.
