President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump held a phone conversation on Saturday, October 11.

This was reported by Andriy Yermak, head of the President's Office.

"President Zelenskyy is currently speaking with President Trump," Yermak wrote.

No further details of the conversation between the two leaders were disclosed.

Trump and Zelenskyy meeting

As a reminder, Zelenskyy met with Trump on September 23 on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly and called the meeting productive. Following this, both leaders made a series of statements.

Zelenskyy noted that he received positive signals from Trump regarding support for Ukraine.

Later, The Telegraph reported that during a private meeting with Trump, Zelenskyy raised the issue of supplying Ukraine with American long-range Tomahawk missiles, capable of striking up to 1,600 kilometers. This sparked a wave of speculation online.

Axios later reported that Trump denied the request. Despite this, Zelenskyy believes Ukraine will eventually receive the missiles.

Meanwhile, a few days ago, US President Donald Trump stated that a decision on supplying long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine has virtually been made.

At the same time, US Vice President J.D. Vance confirmed to the media that Washington is discussing supplying such missiles to Ukraine, but the final decision rests solely with Donald Trump.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin warned that supplying Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles and their use against Russia would allegedly represent "an entirely new stage of escalation" with the US and could "damage" Moscow–Washington relations.
