Russia's military losses in Ukraine continue to mount, with its forces losing personnel and large quantities of military equipment every day. Ukraine's military has published the latest figures.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to September 10, 2026, are estimated to be:

Frontline situation
On September 9, the total combat losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine surpassed 1.5 million killed and wounded. This is the largest loss in a single war suffered by the Russian army since World War II.
Ukrainian forces launched a comprehensive strike against a naval base in Novorossiysk. Russian missile carriers, a carrier-based fighter jet, and a helicopter were hit.
