Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has held a meeting with a US delegation. Another, broader-format meeting is still ahead, an informed source told RBC-Ukraine.
According to the source, Zelenskyy met with US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll and several generals.
A new-format meeting is now beginning. It will include, among others, Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov.
Rumors about a US peace plan
Yesterday, several Western media outlets, citing their own sources, reported that US and Russian officials had drafted a plan to end the war in Ukraine.
According to unofficial information, Kirill Dmitriev, an envoy of the Russian President, was involved in its creation.
The plan supposedly consists of 28 points and effectively calls for Ukraine's capitulation. In particular, it demands that Ukraine give up Donbas, half of its army, and more.
Reuters reported that the US peace plan was to be presented in Kyiv by a US delegation led by US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll.
Also, yesterday, November 19, in Türkiye, US special envoy Steve Witkoff wanted to discuss the peace plan with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. According to Axios, the talks did not take place, as the Ukrainian President arrived in Türkiye with a plan developed jointly with European partners.
In response to rumors about a US plan, Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine is ready to work in any meaningful format to stop Russia's war.
