Ukraine is ready to work toward establishing peace in meaningful formats. Only US President Donald Trump has enough strength to bring the war to an end, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Telegram.

The head of the Ukrainian state thanked Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for today’s visit. Ukraine values Türkiye’s engagement in diplomatic efforts and all of its active involvement. During the talks, the leaders discussed in detail the real paths toward a reliable and just peace.

"We in Ukraine have supported every decisive step and the leadership of President Trump since the beginning of this year — every strong and fair proposal to end this war. And only President Trump and the United States of America have enough strength to finally bring the war to an end," he said.

According to Zelenskyy, Erdoğan proposed formats for dialogue that he supported. And Ukraine appreciates that Türkiye is ready to provide a platform for this.

"We are ready to work in any other meaningful formats that can deliver results. But the key to stopping the bloodshed and achieving lasting peace is coordinated work with all partners, and ensuring that US leadership remains effective, strong, and brings closer a long-lasting peace that guarantees people’s security," the president added

US peace plan

Earlier today, November 19, the media reported that current and former US and Russian officials had prepared a peace plan aimed at ending Russia’s war against Ukraine.

It has emerged that the plan includes conditions that are unfeasible for Ukraine. In particular, it involves transferring control of Donbas to Russia and significantly reducing the number of Ukrainian soldiers.

Axios, citing sources, reported that Kirill Dmitriev, the envoy of the Russian President who helped develop the plan, "was satisfied with the outcome."

The initiative is expected to be presented in Kyiv tomorrow, November 20, by a US delegation led by US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll.
