Ukraine restores power to Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant
Power supply to the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant has been restored, allowing the facility to exit its tenth blackout, which had lasted for the past month.
"After the completion of repairs to the 750 kV Dniprovska line, work continues on the 330 kV Ferospavna line. During this entire period, the safety of Europe's largest nuclear plant was maintained solely by emergency diesel generators, which created an unprecedented threat to nuclear and radiation safety not only for Ukraine but for the entire European continent," the minister noted.
Chinese companies halt purchases of Russian oil following US sanctions - Reuters
Chinese state-owned oil companies have halted their maritime purchases of Russian oil following extensive US sanctions against Rosneft and Lukoil.
Chinese state-owned refineries buy around 500,000 barrels of oil per day.
EU approves 19th sanctions package against Russia
The European Union has approved a new package of sanctions targeting Russia's shadow fleet and imports of liquefied natural gas.
The EU is also restricting the movement of Russian diplomats to counter destabilization attempts.
