Ukraine can still receive long-range Tomahawk missiles. Every day brings new aid, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said while speaking with journalists.
The president noted that the main outcomes of his meeting with US President Donald Trump last week were new sanctions against the Russian energy sector and the postponement of the American leader’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Budapest, without Ukraine.
"We don’t have Tomahawks yet… We will see, every day brings something (new - ed.). Maybe tomorrow we will have Tomahawks," Zelenskyy suggested.
Tomahawk for Ukraine
The issue of supplying long-range US Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine has become more pressing over the past month. In particular, the delivery of such missiles was one of the main topics during talks between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump in Washington on October 17.
During the meeting, the Ukrainian president proposed to Trump to start supplying Tomahawks in exchange for thousands of Ukrainian drones.
Following the talks, the American leader still did not give the "green light" for the delivery of these missiles.
According to sources from The Wall Street Journal, Trump told Zelenskyy not to expect Tomahawk deliveries anytime soon.
At the same time, today, October 23, the Ukrainian president emphasized that he is discussing the supply of such missiles not only from the United States.
