Witkoff holds lengthy talks with Ukraine and NATO advisors, to continue tomorrow

US President's special envoy Steve Witkoff held a lengthy conversation with Ukraine's and NATO's security advisors, but they did not have time to address everything. The talks will continue tomorrow, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
"Just now, my team reported to me that the security advisors held a rather long and very detailed conversation. The composition of participants in the discussion was significant. This is important. I thank everyone for their work and for the genuine desire to stop the killings and ensure lasting peace," Zelenskyy said.
According to him, the advisors agreed to continue the conversation tomorrow, as "there is still much work to be done."
"Ukraine, as always, will work productively. We need a dignified peace," the president emphasized.
Earlier media reported that US President's special envoy Steve Witkoff planned to hold a videoconference today, August 7, with officials from Ukraine and five other countries. He will brief them on his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Unnamed sources told Axios that the videoconference would be attended by senior officials from Ukraine, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom.
It is expected that, in addition to the meeting in Moscow, Witkoff will also discuss with them further plans, including a possible summit between US President Donald Trump and Putin.
