US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced Washington's readiness to change Trump's peace plan. Meanwhile, Russian troops attacked the Ukraine-Romania border checkpoint.

US will change Trump's plan

On November 23, consultations between the US, Ukraine, and Europe on Trump's new peace plan took place in Geneva. After the meeting, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Washington was making changes.

According to National Security Council Secretary Rustem Umerov, the current version of the plan, which is being approved, reflects most of Ukraine's priorities.

At the same time, The Telegraph and Reuters published an alternative plan developed by Europe and Ukraine. It is based on Trump's document but has many differences.

Russia strikes Ukraine-Romania border checkpoint

Russian troops attacked the Orlivka checkpoint on the border with Romania with strike drones at night.

"On the night of November 22, Russia struck the infrastructure of the Orlivka ferry complex," the State Customs Service of Ukraine says.

Due to Russian strikes, the international checkpoint is temporarily suspended.

Romania scrambled a pair of F-16 fighter jets amid a Russian drone attack.

Ukraine brings home 31 civilians freed from Belarusian prisons

Ukraine returned 31 civilians from Belarus who had been sentenced to various terms of imprisonment ranging from 2 to 11 years.

The youngest Ukrainian woman released today is 18 years old, and the oldest is 58. Among the released civilians are people with serious illnesses, including cancer.
