US to consult Europe before Trump-Putin meeting - Polish Prime Minister

The United States has promised to consult with its European partners before the summit between US President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin. They will meet on August 15 in Alaska, The Guardian reports.
The Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that the importance of preserving Ukraine's integrity "is not just a matter of solidarity with our neighbour, but also of our own security."
Tusk has "lots of fears and lots of hope" regarding the Trump-Putin meeting and noted "tactic … of unpredictability at times, when it comes to various moves and actions" by Trump.
According to Tusk, some parts of Putin's proposal regarding territory appear "one-sided," and "difficult to see why it's unacceptable" for Ukraine.
