Zelenskyy to Trump: No deals on land or Сonstitution

Ukraine will not give up its territory to Russian occupiers. The answer to the territorial issue is already in the Constitution of Ukraine, according to a statement by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"The answer to Ukraine’s territorial question is already in the Constitution of Ukraine. No one will and cannot back down from this. Ukrainians will not give their land to the occupiers," the head of state said.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine is ready for real solutions that will lead to peace. However, as the president stated, any decisions made against Ukraine and without Ukraine are simultaneously decisions against peace.
"They (decisions made without Ukraine) will achieve nothing. These are dead decisions; they will never work. What we all need is a real, living peace that people will respect. We are ready, together with President Trump and all our partners, to work for a real and, most importantly, lasting peace — a peace that will not fall apart because of Moscow’s ambitions," Zelenskyy added.
Trump hints at possible territory swap
It should be recalled that recently, US President Donald Trump suggested a possible "territory swap" with Russia, as well as the return of some territories to Ukraine.
"This is very complicated, but we are going to return some territories. We are going to do some territory swaps. There will be a certain exchange of territories that benefits both sides," he said.
It is also worth noting that Trump announced the date and location of his meeting with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. They will meet on August 15 in Alaska.
CBS News reports that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy may join the Trump-Putin summit next week.
