US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff says that he plans to visit Kyiv in the near future, according to News.LIVE.
When asked by a journalist about the possible dates of his visit to Ukraine, he replies: "Soon."
He does not provide any other details about the purpose of the upcoming trip or its agenda.
Steve Witkoff previously stated that he was scheduled to meet with Russia's Vladimir Putin on January 22. According to him, the meeting was initiated by the Russian side.
Witkoff has visited Moscow and met with Putin on numerous occasions. Despite statements by Washington officials that Russia is allegedly ready for peace, there are no signs of this.
On Wednesday, January 21, Putin shared details of the upcoming meeting with US President's special representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
According to Putin, they will fly to the Russian capital to continue the dialogue on resolving Russia's war against Ukraine.
Today, the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and head of the Ukrainian delegation, Rustem Umerov, said that a separate dialogue with American partners—the son-in-law of the US leader, Jared Kushner, and his special representative, Steve Witkoff—took place in Davos.
Steve Witkoff refused to condemn Russian attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure, which left much of Kyiv without water, heating, and electricity during severe frosts.
He stated that Ukraine and Russia are at war and "they are shooting at each other."
