US is ready to be part of security guarantees for Ukraine, daily talks underway - Zelenskyy

The United States is prepared to provide security guarantees for Ukraine. Now negotiations on the concrete content of the security guarantees are ongoing daily, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated during the press conference with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Kyiv.
"We, together with all our partners, have reached an important mutual understanding with the United States. The United States is ready to be part of security guarantees for Ukraine. And this is the first time we have achieved exactly such readiness," Zelenskyy noted.
According to the president, negotiations on the concrete content of these security guarantees are now being conducted daily at different levels.
"At the level of security advisors, at the level of our military, at the level of diplomats of all teams. Yesterday, there was a call to Ukraine, all of Europe, and the United States. Today, the same work will continue," he assured.
Earlier, Zelenskyy stated that within the next two weeks, Kyiv expects concretization from partners. According to him, 30 countries are already developing security guarantees, but not all of them concern military assistance.
The United Kingdom, France, and Germany have already declared readiness to play an active role in Ukraine’s security. The head of the Ministry of Defense of Britain, John Healey, directly stated that London is ready to send military personnel to Ukraine.
Russia reacted predictably negatively. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, stated that Moscow will not accept any collective security guarantees without its participation. He emphasized that the Kremlin will demand the right of veto, as well as China's involvement. In Kyiv, such a condition is considered unacceptable. In the White House, such a proposal was ridiculed altogether.
