Moscow agrees to Ukraine security guarantees with China and US involved

Russia claims it is allegedly willing to provide security guarantees for Ukraine. But they must be ensured on an equal basis with the participation of China, the United States, and several European countries, according to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
Lavrov told Russian media that Ukraine's security guarantees must be ensured "on an equal basis" by countries such as China, the United States, the United Kingdom, and France.
But without Russia's participation, this is a "road to nowhere."
"I am confident that in the West, especially in the United States, they perfectly understand that seriously discussing security issues without Russia is utopia, a road to nowhere," he said.
Security guarantees for Ukraine
During the meeting of the presidents of Ukraine, the United States, and European leaders at the White House on August 18, the key topic of discussion was security guarantees for Ukraine.
Allies are considering providing them on the principle of NATO’s Article 5, but outside the Alliance.
Donald Trump emphasized that the United States would participate in this process, but European nations should play the leading role. He ruled out sending American troops to Ukraine. But it is not excluded that the US could provide Ukraine with air support under the security guarantees.
Meanwhile, the Coalition of the Willing stated its readiness to deploy deterrence forces on Ukrainian territory.
According to media reports, Russia is ready to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine, but only with China’s participation.
