The Russian threat to Western countries is "a little overstated." Moscow has still failed to achieve major success in its war against Ukraine, according to US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker during a broadcast on Fox Business.

"I think the Russian threat sometimes is a little overstated. They have not had a lot of success. And to your point, Ukraine has actually taken back territory. And so, to me, that points to a weakness in Russia," Whitaker emphasized.

He noted that as the Russian economy continues to weaken, sustaining such a war will become increasingly difficult for Russia.

Russia’s threat to NATO

Last week, Russia launched its strike drones over Poland. According to Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, 19 drones were detected in the country’s airspace, but only four were shot down.

The rest, according to unconfirmed reports, fell on Polish territory after running out of fuel.

On September 17, a crashed drone was found in a forest near the village of Stanisławka in the Lublin region. It is believed to be one of the drones Russia used to attack Poland.

In response to the incident, a delegation of Polish military personnel traveled to Ukraine to learn how to counter potential drone attacks in the future.
