Poland’s Defense Minister, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, together with a delegation from the Polish Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces, arrived in Kyiv this morning, September 18, according to the press service of Poland’s Ministry of Defense.

During the visit, talks with Ukraine's leadership are planned.

The sides will discuss military cooperation, further support for Ukraine in resisting Russian aggression, and the security situation in the region.

Background

On the night of September 10, Russia attacked Poland with drones while also launching a large number of drones and missiles against Ukraine.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that a total of 19 drones were detected in the country's airspace. Fighter jets were scrambled to destroy the targets, but only four drones were ultimately neutralized.

In Lublin Voivodeship, a private house was partially destroyed during the attack.

According to Polish media, the house was struck by an F-16 missile that had been launched at a Russian drone.
