19 Russian drones enter Poland, less than a quarter shot down - Prime Minister

Nineteen Russian drones entered Polish airspace overnight, of which only four were shot down by Polish air defense forces, Sky News reports.
In particular, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that there were 19 “intrusions” into Poland's airspace overnight, with four drones shot down.
According to Tusk, a large number of enemy drones came from Belarusian territory.
The Polish Prime Minister also added that Warsaw had appealed to NATO to invoke Article 4, noting that the country needed more than just expressions of solidarity.
Article 4 allows any NATO member to bring an issue forward for discussion. Thus, it does not involve a military response.
Russian drones in Poland
On the night of September 10, Russian strike drones violated Polish airspace. Aviation was deployed to counter the threat. Due to the massive attack and potential danger to the country, airports in Warsaw, Lublin, and Rzeszów were temporarily closed.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk convened an emergency government meeting following the airspace violations by Russian drones.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is ready to provide Poland with all available data on the drone incursions and assist in developing warning systems and air defense.
According to analysts, Russia had been preparing strikes against Poland and Lithuania for several months, using 4G modems with SIM cards of Polish operators in Shahed drones since at least June.
