The missile strike by Russia on Dnipro in the afternoon of Tuesday, June 24, is one of the most large-scale in terms of destruction. In the city, 50 apartment buildings and dozens of educational institutions were damaged, according to Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov.

According to him, more than 2,000 windows were damaged in residential buildings and various municipal facilities across the city. Overall, destruction was recorded in almost 50 high-rise buildings, some of which also had their roofs damaged.

"Significant destruction occurred in the private sector as well. As of this moment, nearly 400 reports from residents have been submitted to the Novokodatskyi district Administration. And these requests keep coming in," Filatov wrote.

It is also known that nearly 40 educational institutions were affected in the attack, including lyceums, gymnasiums, kindergartens, music schools, and vocational schools.

There are various damages in 8 locations of the medical sector - hospitals, outpatient clinics, dental clinics.

"Among public transportation, three tram cars were damaged, and a contact-line support was damaged. Dispatcher offices and electric transport workshops were affected, and the roof at one depot was damaged," the mayor reported.

In addition, the Kaidatska pumping and filtration station was damaged, as well as 16 district and residential boiler stations.

Russia damages Dnipro Theological Seminary

According to the seminary's press service, their building sustained significant damage, including the Seminary Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, the academic building, dormitory, library, computer lab, canteen, and a house for teachers.

"Everyone who was on the territory of the educational institution is alive and unharmed; material and technical property of the Seminary can be restored, but human life is the greatest value," the statement reads.

Russian attack on Dnipro on June 24

This afternoon, the Russian army launched missiles at Dnipro. The attack also damaged a passenger train of Ukrzaliznytsia.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy claimed more than 160 casualties.
