Zelenskyy ready to meet Putin at G20

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants to arrange a personal meeting with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin during the Group of Twenty (G20) summit in Miami, according to DW.
According to the head of state, he will fly to Miami if the Kremlin chief attends the G20 leaders' summit.
The political event is scheduled to take place in December 2026.
"We have to come. We have to meet, to speak and make decisions," Zelenskyy said.
The President of Ukraine also emphasized that what he plans to tell Putin is less important than the results.
"It's not about words. What I will tell him or what he wants to tell me, it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter. [...] Results matter. That's all," he explained.
The Kremlin has so far refused to say whether the Russian dictator will fly to Miami for the G20 summit. The last time he personally attended a G20 meeting was seven years ago.
Despite this, in August, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov received an invitation from the US to attend the G20 meeting in North Carolina. This sparked a wave of criticism from European politicians.
It is important to understand that Zelenskyy and Putin have not held talks since February 2022, when Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
The only personal meeting between the President of Ukraine and the Russian dictator took place on December 9, 2019, in Paris, during the Normandy Four summit.
They held bilateral one-on-one talks that lasted about 10-15 minutes. This was followed by broader talks between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations.
By the way, it was recently reported that Putin's team began demanding that the US stop helping Ukraine to end the war.
In addition, it became known that Putin, US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are negotiating a meeting.
