Russia wants US to stop helping Ukraine to end war

Russia is demanding that the US, for its part, cease all aid to Ukraine. According to Yuri Ushakov, Putin's aide, this would make it possible to settle the Russian-Ukrainian war more quickly.
"The US must stop all aid to Kyiv to resolve the war in Ukraine as quickly as possible," Vladimir Putin's aide cynically demands.
Ushakov notes that Washington's support for Kyiv has noticeably decreased since US President Donald Trump took office.
However, even this does not satisfy the Kremlin—it wants the White House to abandon all possible initiatives.
Against this backdrop, Ushakov also officially confirms that US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner did not present Russia with a road map regarding Ukraine, as mentioned by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Moreover, Putin's aide revealed what exactly the US President and Putin discussed during their phone call on September 8.
According to Ushakov, the discussion centered on resolving Russia's war against Ukraine. He does not say whether they had managed to agree on anything specific.
However, Putin's aide adds that Moscow currently considers Abu Dhabi to be the priority venue for a new meeting on Ukraine.
Incidentally, the day before, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that the Kremlin viewed the US's new approach to the peace process favorably.
He explained that Trump's team was allegedly taking into account the realities on the ground, and for the Russian authorities, this was a positive sign of sorts.
"This, of course, elicits a positive response from us and makes us willing to continue talks with them," Lavrov emphasized.

Additionally, Putin demonstrated his contempt for the American envoys during a meeting in Moscow.
