Trump, Putin and Xi could meet in China this November

A trilateral meeting between US President Donald Trump, Russian leader Vladimir Putin, and Chinese President Xi Jinping could take place soon, reports TASS, citing Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
According to Peskov, there is currently an opportunity to hold a joint summit on the sidelines of the APEC summit in Shenzhen.
He also officially confirmed that this topic was discussed during a phone call between Putin and Trump, which took place on September 8.
"Putin and Trump discussed during their phone call the possibility of organizing a Russia-China-US trilateral summit on the sidelines of the APEC summit in Shenzhen," Peskov said.
The US, Russian, and Chinese leaders could meet as early as November 18-19, 2026, in China.
Peskov also made a new statement regarding Ukraine. He began claiming that Moscow expects trilateral talks to resume "in the foreseeable future."
"We would not want to and will not discuss any points in a public format, especially since there are currently, so to speak, no formalized, integrated programs or road maps. There is a general initiative, a shared political desire, which has been confirmed — to move toward the resumption of trilateral talks," Peskov said.
He added that dialogue with the Trump team on this issue is ongoing.
