Trump ready to meet Putin, but after Russia agrees to end Ukraine war

A meeting with Russian president Vladimir Putin will take place only after Russia agrees to end the war against Ukraine, according to US president Donald Trump.
Journalists asked the US president whether he was considering holding another summit with the Kremlin leader in the near future.
According to Trump, he will agree to a meeting if Russia is prepared to sign a peace agreement with Ukraine and ultimately stop the war.
Trump adds he wants to do it as the US wants to have good relations with Russia and Ukraine, and it would be great for business.
As Trump explained, he could meet with Putin "right now" if he stopped the fighting on the front lines.
The US president plans to do it when this war is over.
Trump also publicly called on Putin and Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy to stop this war.
Immediately after this statement, the Kremlin chief unexpectedly spoke about the possibility of a peace deal with Ukraine.
He also began claiming that Kyiv and Moscow themselves should be the ones to negotiate with each other.
Earlier, Putin claimed new "successes" for the Russian army on the battlefield.
Zelenskyy warned of a new wave of escalation from the enemy.
