At least 10 people were injured as a result of a massive airstrike on the center of Ukraine's Kramatorsk as Russians hit the city with guided aerial bombs, the National Police of Ukraine reports.

Aftermath of Russia's strike

Law enforcement officials say the attack was launched on April 11 at around 09:45 AM.

Preliminary data indicate that Russian forces hit central Kramatorsk with four FAB-250 bombs equipped with unified planning and correction modules (UMPK).

One of the bombs directly hit a multi-story residential building. Ten injured, six men and four women aged between 29 and 89, have been reported so far.

The city recorded significant destruction — 17 apartment buildings were damaged, and approximately a dozen vehicles were destroyed. Rescue teams are continuing debris removal and damage assessment operations.

"Paramedics, explosives experts, and an investigative team are working at the strike sites. The final number of injured is still being clarified," the police said.

A pre-trial investigation has been initiated into violations of the laws and customs of war. Rescue workers and all emergency services continue working at the scene.

"The enemy deliberately struck residential areas when a lot of people were on the streets," law enforcement officials said.

Russian attacks on Ukraine's Kramatorsk

Earlier, the media repeatedly reported that Russian forces regularly strike civilian infrastructure in Kramatorsk. In late March, they attacked the city with a guided aerial bomb, killing three people, including a child, and injuring seven others.

In February this year, Russian troops also carried out a targeted strike on a residential building with a family inside, killing three brothers and injuring their mother and grandmother, who sustained serious injuries.

In addition, a residential district in Kramatorsk came under Russian fire in early February. That early-morning attack destroyed multi-story buildings, leaving civilian casualties and injuries.
