Ukrainian FM urges partners to stand firm: No concessions to Russia

Every concession provokes further aggression from Russia. Therefore, no rewards should be given to Moscow to appease it, according to Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on X.
Sybiha emphasized that only strength can force Russia to end the war against Ukraine.
"No rewards or gifts to the aggressor to appease him. Only strength and unity can force Russia to stop the war. Every concession provokes further aggression. That is why Ukraine firmly stands by its principles and values," he stressed.
The foreign minister stated that Ukraine remains committed to ensuring a just and lasting peace based on the UN Charter and international law, together with partners from the US and Europe.
Trump and Putin meeting
On the eve of the meeting, US President Donald Trump announced the date and location of his meeting with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin — August 15 in Alaska.
According to NBC, the White House is considering inviting Zelenskyy to Alaska.
He also mentioned the possibility of a "territorial swap" between Ukraine and Russia, as well as the return of some territories.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded that the territorial issue is enshrined in the Constitution and Ukraine will not give up its territories to the occupiers.
In addition, Zelenskyy emphasized that Russia is imposing the idea of a "territorial swap" without any guarantees.
