In Kotovsk (Russian Federation), drones attacked the Tambov gunpowder plant, which is one of the main suppliers of explosive materials for the Russian army. The enterprise has already come under attack more than once, according to Andriy Kovalenko, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD).

“The Tambov Gunpowder plant of the Russian Federation has already been attacked more than once. Now it is pausing its operations,” he said.

Kovalenko explained that the plant is one of the key facilities of the Russian military-industrial complex, which is involved in the war against Ukraine. The plant produces gunpowder for small arms, artillery, and rocket systems, as well as collodion cotton, which is used in the creation of explosives and other specialized products.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, production at the enterprise has significantly increased, as it directly meets the needs of the Russian army.
