Explosions rock Russia's Tambov region: Possible attack on gunpowder plant

In the city of Kotovsk, Tambov region (Russia), a series of explosions were heard. Strike drones are reportedly attempting to attack the Tambov gunpowder plant, according to Russian social media sources.
According to the Telegram channel Tambov, incidents, about 10 explosions were heard over the city of Kotovsk in the Tambov region. It is preliminarily reported that the air defense system is intercepting drones attempting to attack the city.
At the same time, the Telegram channel Baza reports an attempt by strike drones to target the Tambov gunpowder plant.
It should be noted that this plant is part of the state corporation Rostec. The enterprise is one of the largest producers in Russia of gunpowder for small arms and artillery ammunition.
The plant manufactures more than 200 types of products, including pyroxylin powders for small arms, hand grenades, grenade launcher rounds, as well as artillery and mortar ammunition.
Ukrainian drones have targeted the Tambov gunpowder plant more than once.
The facility was attacked by drones in January of this year.
The plant was also attacked by drones in July 2024.
Additionally, UAVs struck the Tambov gunpowder plant in November 2023.
