Russian troops have banned the movement of military cargo along the highway from Mariupol to Simferopol due to constant Ukrainian drone attacks, according to Robert Brovdi, call-sign Magyar, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
He says that on June 7, the Russian command officially closed Highway R-280, which runs through the temporarily occupied territories, to its own military logistics.
This decision was prompted by systematic attacks by Ukrainian drones and the establishment of fire control over this route.
According to Brovdi, over the past two weeks, traffic on this road has dropped significantly, by 71%. While previously about 3,800 Russian trucks passed through the route daily, that number has now decreased to approximately 1,100.
At the same time, he emphasizes that there is currently no question of a complete blockade of the Russian logistics routes in this direction.
Operators of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine's (HUR) drone units continue to disrupt the land corridor between Crimea and Donetsk, striking Russian military equipment even deep behind Russian lines.
Earlier, Ukrainian intelligence also attacked Russian military convoys in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The trains were used to transport military equipment, ammunition, and fuel.
At the same time, stores in occupied Crimea are reporting shortages of certain products; sugar, grains, flour, and pasta are disappearing from the shelves. Because of this, retail chains have already imposed limits on the sale of goods to individual customers.
