Russia strikes Ukraine with 2 missiles and 267 drones overnight

On the night of August 29, Russia attacked Ukraine with missiles and 267 strike drones. Ukrainian air defense forces shot down most of the Russian targets, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
Last night, the Russians launched an Onyx anti-ship missile, an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, as well as 267 Shahed-type strike drones (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera drones, S8000 Banderol, and Parodiya-type decoy drones from the following directions: Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia; the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk; and Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea.
According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m., Ukrainian air defense forces shot down or neutralized 233 Russian drones in the north, south, east, and center of the country.
Russian airstrikes were recorded at 15 locations, and debris from downed drones was found at 4 locations.
In addition, some Russian munitions failed to reach their targets; details regarding these are being clarified.
"Russian attack is ongoing; there are several drones in Ukrainian airspace. Follow safety guidelines!" Ukrainian Air Force warns.
Russia intensifies attacks on Kyiv
Today marks the third consecutive day that the Russians have been constantly and massively attempting to attack Kyiv and the Kyiv region with jet-powered drones.
Russia launched 38 attacks on Kyiv and the region, with air raid alerts sounding 13 times in a single day in the capital on August 27.
On the night of August 29 and into the morning, the Russians once again attacked Kyiv. Russian strikes damaged buildings and caused a fire in an apartment.
According to Andrii Kovalenko, head of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation, Russia is attempting to trigger air raid alerts and to wear down Ukraine's air defense forces and the civilian population.
