Russia is launching small numbers of jet drones in waves at Kyiv to paralyze the capital, according to Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation.
"Russia is launching small numbers of jet-powered drones in waves, intending to paralyze Kyiv. Russia does not have the resources for a large number of drones. The goal is to wear down the air defense forces and the population," Kovalenko notes.
According to him, appropriate measures will be taken to counter this Russian tactic.
Russian strikes on Kyiv and region
On the night of August 28, Russian forces attacked a Nova Poshta post warehouse in the Bilohorodka community of the Kyiv region. After the first strike, Russia launched two more attacks on the same location while firefighters were still on the scene extinguishing the fire.
Last night, Russian troops carried out a massive attack on the logistics infrastructure of the Kyiv region. As a result of the strike, distribution centers belonging to the retail chains Fora, Budynok Ihrashok, and Comfy were damaged or destroyed.
Following the first nighttime Russian strike, the Kyiv region suffered 28 more Russian attacks.
