Ukrainian assault units advanced up to 1.6 km in certain areas of the Donetsk region, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Assault units advanced up to 1.6 km in certain areas. I thank all Ukrainian defenders who are destroying the enemy, and I especially want to acknowledge the defenders from the 33rd Separate Assault Regiment and the 253rd Battalion," said Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.

Despite the enemy's unsuccessful attempts to advance in several directions, Ukrainian forces conducted search and destroy operations over an area of 3.4 square kilometers in the Pokrovsk district of the Donetsk region during the past day.

In total, during the Dobropillia operation as of the morning of October 13, 182.4 square kilometers have been liberated and 224.7 square kilometers cleared of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

Situation on the front line

Over the past day, 190 combat engagements were recorded along the entire front line. According to the General Staff, the Defense Forces struck seven areas of enemy personnel and equipment concentration.

In total, Russian losses over the past 24 hours amounted to 1,200 personnel. Ukrainian forces also destroyed five tanks, 29 artillery systems, 390 operational-tactical drones, and 145 units of enemy vehicles.

Earlier, in the Dobropillia direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled another massive assault by Russian forces. According to the Azov unit, the Russians once again used their typical tactics: motorcyclists led the first wave of the attack, followed by armored vehicles carrying infantry.
