Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha arrived in Warsaw on March 12 for an official visit. He discussed the operation of Starlink in Ukraine with Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland and the news website Onet report.

Sybiha traveled to Warsaw after meeting with US representatives in Saudi Arabia. In the Polish capital, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister held talks with his counterpart, Radosław Sikorski.

"The main topic of discussion between the foreign ministers of Poland and Ukraine is the agreements reached following yesterday's US-Ukraine peace negotiations in Saudi Arabia," the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.

Speaking to journalists, Sikorski confirmed the US decision to resume military aid to Ukraine.

"As I see, Starlink is also working," he said, addressing Sybiha.

The Ukrainian Foreign Minister confirmed the functionality of the American satellite communication system in Ukraine and thanked Poland for its support.

"Yes (Starlink is working - ed.). We are grateful for the payment and the opportunity to use Starlink, as Poland has spent about $200 million on it. This is very important for our military," Sybiha noted.

Dispute over Starlink

On Sunday, March 9, a dispute arose between US and Polish representatives regarding Starlink for Ukraine. The CEO of SpaceX and Head of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Elon Musk, stated that Starlink is crucial for the Ukrainian army and that if its terminals were shut down, "the frontline of the Armed Forces of Ukraine would collapse."

In response, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski emphasized that Poland is the one paying for Ukraine’s Starlink service and warned that if Musk were to disconnect the terminals, the contract would be terminated.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio later addressed the controversy, clarifying that no one had threatened to disconnect Ukraine from Starlink. Meanwhile, Musk called Sikorski a "small man."

Later, Musk assured that he would not disable Starlink terminals for Ukraine.
