Direct funding for brigades to purchase drones is already in place in Ukraine. However, it is necessary to expand the military's ability to independently acquire the weapons and equipment they need, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his evening address.

As Zelenskyy stated, today he is on a working visit to Kharkiv and the region. The President visited combat brigades.

"Vovchansk direction, the 57th Brigade. Then – the positions of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade. Very effective brigades. Thank you, warriors, for every occupier destroyed," the Head of State said.

Zelenskyy presented state awards to the soldiers and discussed the needs of the brigades.

"And also about how important decisions that have been made are already working, particularly the direct funding for brigades – primarily funding for drones. It is very important now to give brigades more opportunities to also independently – according to their needs, according to their choice – purchase pickups and other necessary means," the President noted.

He also announced that he would convene the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff tomorrow.

"We will discuss there everything we heard today from our military," Zelenskyy added.

Military equipment marketplace

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has launched a new digital system designed to supply weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to reports, each military unit will be able to independently choose the equipment it truly needs, while DOT-Chain Defense will provide funding, logistics, and direct communication with manufacturers — without unnecessary bureaucracy.

Currently, the system works with FPV drones, but it will later include other types of unmanned aerial vehicles, electronic warfare systems, and robotic platforms.
