Russian forces launch over 100 drones and missiles: Ukraine's air defense responds

On the night of July 7, Russian troops launched 105 air attack assets against Ukraine, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) reported.
During the shelling, the enemy launched:

four S-300/400 surface-to-air guided missiles from the Kursk region;

101 strike unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Shahed type and a decoy drone from the directions of the Russian cities of Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as temporarily occupied Chauda in Crimea.
As of 09:30 AM Kyiv time, air defense neutralized 75 drones in the north, east, and south of the country, among them:

58 were shot down by fire means of destruction;

17 were lost in location and suppressed by electronic warfare (EW) means.
During the attack, drone strikes were recorded in 10 locations, and crashes of downed drones — in seven.
Russian attacks on Ukraine
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian Federation has regularly carried out shelling of Ukrainian territory. For attacks, the Russians use missiles of various types, UAVs, artillery, and guided aerial bombs (KABs).
Terrorists resort to drone attacks almost every night. For example, on the night of July 6, the Russians launched 157 drones and four S-300 surface-to-air guided missiles.
