The Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the oil refinery in Tuapse and fired Storm Shadow missiles at the software and hardware complex of the Russian Air Force’s automated reconnaissance systems, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On the night of May 27, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Tuapse oil refinery (Tuapse, Krasnodar region, Russia). A fire and smoke were reported on the refinery's premises. The extent of the damage is being assessed.

This refinery is one of the largest oil refining enterprises in southern Russia. Its processing capacity is approximately 12 million tons of oil per year.

The facility produces fuel, in particular to supply the Russian Armed Forces.

Additionally, units of the Ukrainian Air Force, using Storm Shadow air-launched missiles, struck the software and hardware complexes of the Russian Air Force’s automated reconnaissance systems in the areas of Voronezh (Voronezh region), Taganrog (Rostov region), and Sevastopol (temporarily occupied by the Autonomous Republic of Crimea).

In addition, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck command posts of the Russian forces' units in the areas of the settlements of Tsvitni Pisky and Sorokyne in the Luhansk region.

A logistics depot in Sorokyne, Luhansk region, and a drone production facility in the Azovske region of Zaporizhzhia region were also struck.

Among other targets, a Nebo-SV radar station near Kamianka and a command-and-staff vehicle from the Russian Buk-M2 complex near Kadiivka in the Luhansk region were struck.

Strikes on Russian oil refineries

Ukraine continues to apply long-range sanctions against Russian oil refining.

Thus, on the night of May 21, the Syzran oil refinery, located more than 800 km from the border, came under attack by Ukrainian drones.

Earlier, Ukrainian drones also attacked Yaroslavl, where one of Russia's largest oil refineries was targeted.

Following a series of drone attacks, several of the largest oil refineries in central Russia have reduced or completely halted fuel production.

Almost all of the largest refineries in central Russia have halted or significantly reduced production due to massive strikes by Ukrainian drones.

Against this backdrop, the security situation in Russia has begun to seriously affect the mood of the local population; Russians are more concerned about news of Russian strikes in their regions than about events on the front lines.
