A source familiar with the matter confirmed to RBC-Ukraine that Ukraine has handed over its updated peace plan to the US.
Peace plan for Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently met in London with the leaders of the UK, Germany, and France. After the talks, he said that national security advisers from the four countries are working on the latest US draft peace plan, brought by Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov.
Zelenskyy explained that Ukraine, its European partners, and the US are currently discussing three documents within the peace plan framework: a framework agreement, security guarantees, and a document outlining the foundations for post-war reconstruction.
Ukraine and Europe plan to develop an updated version of the plan reflecting their vision for ending the war.
At the same time, it is known that Ukraine and the US have not yet reached an agreement on territorial issues. The US is reportedly pressuring Ukraine to cede the Donbas to Russia, which Ukraine refuses to do.
RBC-Ukraine also reported that European leaders, including UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron, will meet in Germany on December 15 to discuss the Ukraine peace plan.
