The F-16 and Mirage 2000 fighter jets, transferred to Ukraine by Western partners, are performing very well in the sky. In particular, during the Russian attack on November 19, they shot down at least 10 Russian cruise missiles, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

Ukrainian Air Force recalls that F-16 aircraft entered service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine in August 2024. Since then, American fighter jets alone have intercepted and destroyed over 1,300 Russian air targets.

"In particular, during today's repulsion of the attack, F-16 and Mirage 2000 pilots intercepted and shot down at least 10 Russian cruise missiles," the Ukrainian Air Force says.

F-16s have also repeatedly struck Russian troops on the front lines during missions to provide air support to ground forces. Over 300 ground targets have been hit, hundreds of pieces of equipment have been destroyed, as well as command posts, drone control points, ammunition depots, and Russian logistics facilities.

"F-16 pilots and ground aviation personnel work daily in tough and extreme conditions. And the only thing on everyone's mind right now is the uninterrupted and timely supply of aviation weapons from Western partners. Because without a sufficient number of bombs and missiles, the F-16 will not help defeat the enemy!" the Ukrainian Air Force emphasizes.
