Ukraine's elite unit stops Russian push near Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk border

Russian troops tried to establish control in the village of Zelenyi Hai in the Donetsk region in order to advance toward the Dnipropetrovsk region border. Ukrainian forces stopped them, reports the Bratstvo Special Unit of Ukraine's Defense Intelligence (HUR).
"Bratstvo, part of the Timur Special Unit of HUR, is successfully fighting on the last line of defense in the Donetsk region," the unit said.
According to them, Russian forces are using their numerical advantage to push toward the Dnipropetrovsk border. They aim to capture the village of Zelenyi Hai along the way.

"The enemy has already reported success to their leadership about capturing new territory. But their victory was short-lived. This area is under the responsibility of the Bratstvo Special Unit," HUR noted.
HUR urged Russian troops to consider twice before publicly posing with Russia's flags in temporarily occupied areas.
"Bratstvo warns: walking around armed and displaying the tricolor flags leads occupiers to death or, at best, captivity," the soldiers emphasized.
The unit's fighters stressed they continue active operations on the front line and remain effective despite Russia's numerical superiority.
Frontline situation
Over the past day, from August 1 to 2, Russia lost another 1,010 soldiers in combat, along with 170 units of military equipment.
More details on the frontline situation as of 4:00 PM Kyiv time on August 2 are available in RBC-Ukraine's report.
On August 1, the Russian president claimed that Russian forces had captured Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region.
He also said Ukrainian authorities were "not well informed about frontline developments."
However, today, Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Khortytsia operational-strategic troop group, stressed that the Russian Defense Ministry's claims about "success" in Chasiv Yar are fake. The frontline in the city has barely changed for months.
