Ukraine may begin producing weapons in NATO member Denmark

Ukrainian weapons may be produced in Denmark in the future. Kyiv and Copenhagen are in talks on this matter, Denmark's Minister of Defense Troels Lund Poulsen said, Nau.ch reports.
"I think we will see the results of these negotiations in September or October," the Danish minister said.
He specified that Ukrainian drones and missiles could be produced in Denmark.
According to Poulsen, negotiations between the two countries are necessary because Ukrainian defense companies currently lack the legal ability to relocate their production to other European states. To address this, Ukraine must first enact new legislation.
Producing Ukrainian weapons on Danish soil would protect them from Russian attacks; in the event of a strike on Danish facilities, Russia would risk NATO retaliation.
Joint defense production
On June 25, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, after meeting with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, announced that Denmark will be the first country with which Ukraine will begin joint defense production.
In May, the Danish Ministry of Defense also pledged to allocate hundreds of millions of euros for the purchase of weapons from the Ukrainian defense industry.
