Ukraine and the United States have coordinated joint steps to provide an additional boost to the Ukrainian economy, according to Ukraine's Ambassador to the United States, Oksana Markarova.

It is noted that representatives of the Ukrainian government held a meeting with the U.S. Special Representative for Economic Recovery in Ukraine, Penny Pritzker, and the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, Bridget Brink.

"We thoroughly discussed and coordinated our further joint steps with our American partners to provide an additional impetus to the economic development of Ukraine," the statement said.

Special attention will be given to the real sector of the economy, supporting both strategic sectors and small and medium-sized businesses.

Economic support from the United States

In early December, the U.S. Special Representative for Economic Recovery in Ukraine, Penny Pritzker, highlighted important sectors of our country's economy that would help increase exports.

Previously, U.S. President Joe Biden urged Congress to allocate additional funding for Ukraine, proposing $61.4 billion. Currently, the bill has not passed procedural voting in the U.S. Senate.
