Contacts between Ukraine and the new administration of the 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump, are expected to continue next week, according to the spokesperson for Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Heorhii Tykhyi.

Tykhyi noted that several contacts had already taken place this week. For example, Andriy Yermak, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, held phone conversations with Michael Waltz, the US National Security Advisor, and Keith Kellogg, the US Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia.

Next week, we expect continued contacts at all levels between Ukraine and the United States. I believe that as these contacts progress, there will be more updates and details on cooperation,” he added.

Ukraine-US contacts

Recently, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that his team had already begun engaging with President Donald Trump’s administration.

Additionally, Kellogg is expected to visit Ukraine. His trip was initially planned before Trump’s inauguration but was postponed due to legal formalities. Soon, the US Special Representative will attend the Munich Security Conference, where media reports suggested he might present Trump’s "peace plan." However, this information was later officially denied.

Meanwhile, sources from RBC-Ukraine reported that Kellogg will visit Ukraine after the conference, likely arriving on February 20.
